Concentrated on methods to verify and optimize the cooling air circuit, fan and heat exchanger module concurrent with the theme, hard point, DMA and vehicle architecture phases of the vehicle program.  Performed vehicle and component testing to expand understanding of electrochemical corrosion in the cooling system during the implementation of aluminum heat exchangers and coolants using organic acid corrosion inhibitors.

Implemented, developed and managed the Jeep and Dodge Truck thermal management and protection function.  Managed core expertise engineers, technicians, shops, test facilities, lab and road testing.  Supported the Design Office and Advanced Vehicle Engineering for theme, hard point, digital modeling and assembly and vehicle architecture development for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Wrangler and Liberty, Dodge Dakota, Durango and 2002 RAM truck.

Chassis development of the Mexican CKD version of the F series truck, Lincoln based Venezuelan CKD Conquistador, Australian and South African RHD 4x2 and 4x4 RAM light trucks, RHD heavy truck and Bronco.  For the RHD (right hand drive) Australian and South African F-series, designed the steering geometry and adapted the asymmetric twin-I-beam front suspension and steering of the domestic left hand drive F-series to avoid retooling high capital investment components.

DISTRICT ENGINEER (06/1973 to 07/1977)

Provided technical and field engineering support to 8 major commercial and military truck fleet accounts and 103 Ford dealers in South America and Panama.  Analyzed product issues in the sub-tropical and high altitude environments of South, Central America and the Caribbean, with various European assignments.  Performed new technology training to South American and European dealer personnel.
